Meeting Updates:

Sunday October 16th: At this meeting we unpacked the strategic process, discussed Hillside's readiness for change, and Pastor Dave led the team through a time of spiritual formation that focused on the need to commit to the prayer of indifference. This is a prayer for God's will alone - nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.

Sunday November 6th: We spent this evening in small groups working through the purpose of Hillside and looked at scripture to guide us in developing a mission for Hillside.

Sunday November 20th:During this meeting the SLT finished up the work on the mission statement and began the next step of developing Hillside's values statements.

December 4th: The SLT completed the values statements and began looking at the feedback obtained on outreach. The feedback was collected by the staff team through various roundtables, a focus group with the youth, meetings with social workers at Auburn High School and Cole Harbour High, and a meeting with the staff at Cole Harbour Place.

January 15th: We spent this evening looking at research obtained from the Gathering Conference on the state of the North American Church. After a time of praising God, corporate prayer, listening prayer, and large group discussion we settled on an area to focus for outreach.
