Frequently Asked Questions
How long are services?
The service usually lasts about an hour. You can expect to sing some worship songs, be led in prayer, and hear a relevant message. Of course you're always welcome to stick around for a coffee afterwards.
Will there be any programming provided for my children?
Yes! Hillside Kids will be available for 15 children ages 5-12 years old. Our nursery will be back up and running soon. You can even register before hand to help us set up to provide a safe and fun environment for your kids!
What should I wear?
Hillside has people who dress in everyday clothes and people who like to dress up for Sunday services. Dress however you would normally dress if you were going out with friends for brunch.
Can I bring snacks for my children?
Absolutely! Please make sure snacks are prepackaged or in a disposable bag (and won’t make a lot of noise).
When should I arrive to the on-site service?
We encourage you to arrive 10 minutes early to hear any updates and be ready for the service.
Am I required to wear a mask?
In keeping with provincial guidelines, masks are mandatory in public gatherings unless there is a valid medical exemption.
What is Hillside doing to keep people safe?
Your safety is important to us! Hand sanitizer is placed throughout the building, masks are available, and we are making everything as touchless as possible.
Can I talk with others who are attending before or after the on-site service?
Yes! Please make sure that you respect other people's comfort level with physical touch, such as a handshake or a hug. If someone gives you a thumbs up, that's the sign they would like to remain socially distanced. You are also welcomed to chat in the parking lot.
